Games which end deadlocked at the end of regulation move into a five minute sudden death period.
If the game is still tied, a shoot out will decide the winner.
A shootout consists of five players from each team shooting on the opposition's goalie.
The first shootout round gives each shooter a chance from 15 feet away.
The second shootout round gives each shooter the ability to move in on the goalie.
