Card Party Planned at St. James

A card party and style show is planned to take place on April 2 at 8 p.m. in St. James' school auditorium, under the sponsorship of the Altar and Rosary societies of the church. Sportswear for all occasions, and all age groups, will be presented in the fashion show by Grants.

Mrs. John Fidorra is chairman of the event, and Anthony Laniewicz is serving as co-chairman. In charge of the style show is Mrs. Charles Jolls; Joe Doyer is chairman of the main award; Jim Meyer, tickets; Mrs. Walter Packard, publicity; Mrs. Ray Bartnik, refreshments; Mrs. Fred Anderson, candy.


St. James Church Card Party Style Show To Be April 2

ST. JAMES Church annual spring party and style show will take place in the school, 2522 Buffalo rd., April 2.

The event will take place at 8 p. m. with the style show at approximately 8:45 p. m.

Commentator of the style show will be Gloria Will. Fashions will be shown from the W. T. Grant co., 9th and Peach. There will be summer sportswear for the entire family featured. Outdoor patio-type setting is the background for the show.

The models for the young women's sizes will be: Ann Downing, Doty Lawson, Pat Lindenberger and Pat Stauffer.

The male models will be Tony Klan and William Mikesell, sectional managers at the W. T. Grant store.

Denise Mikesell will model the toddlers sizes and Gale Mikesell will fashion the little girl's sizes.

Children of the parish members who will model also are: Mary Ellen Kaznierowski, Christine Deems, Jeanne Jolls, Christine Laniewicz, Catherine Laniewicz and Patricia Mason, little girl's clothes.

Also: Karen Jolls, Patty Swain and Kristin Lorenz, eight to ten year old sizes and Deborah Anderson, toddler's sizes.

Ginny Hook will model preteen sizes and Robert Jolls, boy's fashions. Toby Hudson and George Hoover will show pre-teen boy's sizes.



PLANNING PARTY - Members of the parents and teachers organization at St. James School will sponsor a card party and style show on April 2 in the school auditorium. Meeting recently to discuss plans for the event was the above group, which includes Mrs. Charles Jolls, Mrs. Ray Bartnik, Anthony Laniewicz, Mrs. John Fidorra, left to right. Grant's will present the style show at the party, the fashions to be shown all in the sportswear line.

Had worked as a seamstress and dressmaker

Anna M. Kremenik Jolls, 82, 2401 Union Ave., Wesleyville, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at her residence.

She was born July 12, 1914, in Pageville, a daughter of the late Stefan and Mary Lascek Kremenik.

She had lived in the Erie area all of her life.

Mrs. Jolls had worked at Marx Toy Co. and had also worked as a seamstress for Forty's Cleaners and P.F. Donahue.

She had been a custom dressmaker and was active in "I AM" activity in Waterford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Jolls; three brothers, Andrew, John and Joseph Kremenik; and three sisters, Frances Kremenik, Veronica Durika and Mary Kremenik.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Renee) Vickey of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Kenneth W. (Karen) Gordon of Wesleyville and Mrs. Donn (Jeanne) Patton of Pittsburgh; a son, Robert D. Jolls and his wife Eileen of Eric; a brother, Frank Kremenik of Erie; a sistern, Mrs. Dan (Josephine) Mikovich of Albion; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 695 Smithson Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Metropolitan Erie, 110 W. 10th St., Erie, Pa. 16501.

The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2124 Raspberry St., is in charge of arrangements.
