A couple of questions:

Has anyone managed to find out anything about Thomas Jolls's (the sea captain's) English heritage? I've seen notes to indicate that the ship he sailed over on was a windjammer, but www.reference.com indicates that windjammers weren't built until the 1870s, and he supposedly sailed over and was shipwrecked in 1682--but if that's the case, why were sons Thomas and Robert shown as having been born in Massachusetts in 1672 and 1677, respectively? I can find no information on Thomas's marriage to Abigail, either in the Americas or in England.

I also find it odd that his wife was with him on that voyage, though it wasn't completely unheard of at that time, and that captain, wife and baby all survived the shipwreck. If anyone has managed to document events of this man's life, beyond what's in the "Jolls Family in America" document, I'd be most interested in hearing of it.
