Hi. My maiden name was JOLES. I have tons of info at each end of the JOLLS/JOLES lineage (sp?). My problem is that there are a few places where my Thomas S. fits into the big picture. His father was most likely Robert b. 1766, RI, no wife's name known. In the 1810 census, they are listed in Norway, Herkimer County, NY. My Thomas was b. RI; d. Jefferson County, NY. If there is anyone out there who has some documentation to help me connect to the main line correctly, i would do a "happy dance". Also, our surname was so unusual that we always had to spell it. I am so pleased to find so many JOLLS/JOLES "family" out there.
