From Northern Central New Jersey Option 1

This option is ideal for rush hour traffic. Coming from the intersection of I-287 and I-78 near Somerville, NJ, take 287 South to the Easton Ave exit (10 miles) (one exit after the Weston Canal exit). Get off at Easton Ave. Go straight on Easton Ave. (County 527 South) for two blocks. Make a right after the Amoco station onto Cedar Grove Lane (County 619 South) (there is no sign indicating the name of the road). Continue straight on Cedar Grove Lane (3 miles). At the end of the road, make a left at the Mobil station onto County 514 East. Take County 514 East for 3/4 of a mile. Turn right onto County 615 South (S. Middlebush Road) (this turn will come quickly and surprise you). After 5 miles, prepare to turn off County 615 South (one is close to doing this once you are driving through the middle of a large townhouse development). Turn right onto Route 27 South. After 4 miles, bear right onto Raymond Rd. (still Route 27 South). After 2 miles, you will see a three way intersection sign, followed by a reduced speed ahead sign, followed by a drug free zone sign. Soon after the Drug Free Zone sign, at the intersection with Riverside Dr. and Snowden Ln., turn left at the light. After a couple blocks (with a school on the left), turn right onto Prospect. Take Prospect for two miles through campus. At the end of Prospect at the light, turn left onto Washington Rd. Take Washington Rd. a 1/2 mile still thru campus to the first light. At the light, turn right onto Faculty Rd. Take this road a 1/4 mile and make your first right onto Unmarked Rd. (Elm Rd.). Approach the guard booth. Put on your left turn signal. Stop at the guard booth and say you are there for the hockey game. You can pass and hockey parking is free. Turn left at the guard booth. Go straight through the parking lot to the stop sign. Go straight at the stop sign then bearing right to go up the hill to the Baker Rink parking area. Baker Rink is located at the end of the parking lot. The total length of this trip at rush hour is one hour.

Train

From New York, Penn Station, West 33rd Street:
Take any New Jersey Transit or Amtrak train going to Princeton Junction. (Many Amtrak's do not stop at the Junction; please check schedule carefully or you'll have to get off in Trenton and backtrack.) The Princeton website has the New York - Princeton Junction - Princeton - Trenton train schedule.) (Amtrak trains are much more expensive.) From the Junction you can ride to Princeton University (about 3 miles away) on the Dinky or PJ&B (Princeton Junction and Back), a little train that arrives off of Alexander Road.

From Philadelphia, 30th Street Station
Take a SEPTA train to Trenton and change to a New Jersey Transit to Princeton Junction. Don't forget to check to see if the Dinky meets the New Jersey Transit train. (SEPTA is a Pennsylvania company and Trenton is its only New Jersey stop.) An easier plan would be to take an Amtrak train from Philadelphia to Princeton Junction. From the Junction, ride to Princeton University on the Dinky or PJ&B to campus.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all Amtrak trains stop at the Junction, but most except the Metroliner stop at Trenton.

From Trenton:
Change from SEPTA or Amtrak to a New Jersey Transit train to Princeton Junction, making sure that the NJT train connects with the Dinky. From the Junction, ride to Princeton University on the Dinky or PJ&B.

When you get off the dinky, walk in the direction the train would go in if the tracks didn't end, make a right onto a path taking you into the heart of the Princeton campus, and make your first right onto a path that leads you straight to Baker Rink (the train station will be on your right). Baker Rink is the low stone building ahead. Any student can point you in the direction of the rink if you need help.

Bus

The Travel to Princeton Web Page mentions how to get to Palmer Square by bus. From Palmer Square, ask a student for directions on how you can walk to the hockey rink.
